We've performed a market valuation of a 270-aircraft portfolio (US$10bn) which involved the use of IAA's innovative fvDynamics risk analysis system, which is based on sophisticated computer simulation and provides the probability distribution for each forecast. The system has since been used under license and on a project basis by some of the airfinance market's largest players. The system has also been used by Etihad Airways as decision support for an analysis of their fleet, which was the first airline use of the fvDynamics system. Recently,
IAA created a complex Excel model of a large leasing company's future
balance sheet, taking into account their large delivery schedule.
The result included the IRR, balance sheet and cash flow effects
of potential aircraft sales over the next 10 years, as a function
